The price of cobalt intermediates remained flat, with offers stagnant at USD $25.9 per pound and no actual transactions reported. The total expected arrival volume from April to May is less than 3,000 tonnes (in cobalt metal equivalent). Downstream terminal demand remains weak, and cobalt salt prices are suppressed by downstream losses as well as the economic viability of MHP. Therefore, prices are unlikely to see any movement. The market is cautiously watching the arrival of cobalt intermediates and adjusting procurement paces accordingly.
