On May 7, the Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu Province announced that the environmental impact assessment report for the Annual Production of 240,000 Tonnes of High-Performance Lithium Battery Cathode Material project of Lithium Source (Jiangsu) Technology Co., Ltd. has been approved.
The project is located on a plot in Jintan District, Changzhou City. With a planned investment of Yuan 2 billion, the project will lease approximately 57,255.3 square meters of plant space to construct an annual production facility for 240,000 tonnes of high-performance lithium battery cathode material, aiming to meet market demand and further expand the company's scale.
According to the previously disclosed plan, the project will be implemented in two phases. The first phase is planned to build an annual production capacity of 120,000 tonnes of high-tap-density LFP, with a commitment to complete construction and commence operation by the third quarter of 2026. The second phase will be initiated in due course based on market conditions. The project will fully adopt the industry's next-generation processes. Upon full completion, it will become the group's largest single facility and most advanced benchmark fifth-generation plant.
