NBS: China's Jan-Apr crude steel output down 4% YoY

China's crude steel output added up to 331.1 million tonnes during January-April, falling by 4.1% compared to the same period of last year, according to the latest release by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday morning.

For April alone, China produced 83.63 million tonnes of crude steel, slipping by a smaller 2.8% from one year earlier, as compared to the 6.3% on-year decline seen in March, the NBS statistics showed. On a daily basis, the country's crude steel output averaged 2.79 million tonnes/day last month,
