NBS: China's Jan-Apr FAI falls 1.6%, property investment declines faster at 13.7% YoY

China's fixed asset investment (FAI) fell during the first four months of this year, easing by 1.6% on year to total Yuan 14.13 trillion ($2 trillion), reversing the 1.8% rise seen in the January-February and the 1.7% increase for January-March, according to the latest release from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on May 18.

Over the past four months, tertiary industry still attracted the most funding among the three major economic sectors, with total investment reaching Yuan 8.71 trillion.
