China's import volume of unwrought cobalt in April 2026 was 1,333.515 tonnes (equivalent to 1,330.85 tonnes of cobalt metal based on 99.8% purity), representing a month-on-month increase of 38.83% and a year-on-year increase of 58.85%, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. The total import value for the month was approximately USD $70.308 million,with an average import price of USD $52,723.81/tonne.
For the period from January to April 2026, China's cumulative import volume of unwrought cobalt reached 5,915.84 tonnes.
