MYSTEEL: Coal mines in Shanxi's key coking coal hub suspended after fatal accident

All 25 coal mines in Qinyuan county, Changzhi city of North China's Shanxi province, were ordered to suspend operations immediately following a fatal accident at a local mine on May 22, Mysteel learned through its latest survey.

According to media reports, at least 90 people – later revised to 82 by the authorities – were killed in a gas explosion at the Liushenyu Coal Mine in Qinyuan at around 7:30 p.m. on May 22, after the mine reportedly issued a carbon monoxide alarm. The Liushenyu Coal Mine
