China Energy makes green hydrogen-coal co-firing breakthrough

China Energy Investment Corp, the country's largest coal and power producer, said on June 7 it had achieved a technological breakthrough in co-firing green hydrogen with coal, raising the blending ratio to 50% by heat value in a 40,000-kilowatt test boiler.

The state-owned company said the technology marked the first time such a high blending ratio has been achieved globally, according to state media CCTV.
