Construction has fully commenced on CGN's 540 MW solar photovoltaic project cluster in Longyang District, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, with a total investment exceeding 1.87 billion yuan.
The project cluster is located in areas including Yangliu Township and Bingma Township within Longyang District. It consists of five sub-projects: Liuhe (320 MW), Manglong (40 MW), Conggang (90 MW), Sanping (50 MW), and a 40 MW grouping comprising Hexi (East), Bingma (South), Wadu, Waige, and Pingchangzi. The total installed capacity reaches 540 MW, covering approximately 1,080 mu of land. The cluster will feature 191 PV power generation arrays, 910,000 monocrystalline silicon N-type bifacial double-glass modules of 710 Wp each, 1,688 string inverters with a rated capacity of 320 kW, as well as one new 220 kV step-up substation and one new 110 kV step-up substation.
According to estimates, once operational, the project cluster is expected to deliver an average annual on-grid power output of over 720 GWh, equivalent to saving approximately 216,500 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 555,800 tonnes annually, demonstrating significant energy savings and emission reduction benefits.
