Recently, the Management Committee of Cangzhou Bohai New Area and the Huanghua Municipal People's Government in Hebei Province issued a public notice of approval for the Environmental Impact Report of the "EV Power Battery Material Processing and Battery Cascade Utilization & Resource Center Project (Re-submitted for Approval)" by Hebei Geological Mining Foster New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
It is understood that the project is invested and constructed by Hebei Geological Mining Foster New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. The construction site is located in the East Zone of the Cangzhou Lingang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hebei Province. The project covers an area of 62,893.49 square meters, with a total investment of Yuan 500 million, of which Yuan 10 million is allocated for environmental protection.
The main construction contents include one dismantling and black mass production workshop, one concentration and crystallization workshop, one raw material warehouse, one hazardous waste warehouse, a concentrated sulfuric acid pump area, and a storage tank area. Additionally, the project will build one dismantling and cascade utilization production line, one black mass preparation (cell crushing) production line, and one lithium carbonate production line. Upon completion, the first phase of the project will have an annual capacity of dismantling 60,000 tonnes of power lithium battery packs, including crushing 20,000 tonnes of battery cells and cascade utilization of 10,000 tonnes of battery cells. The second phase will have an annual production capacity of 3,973 tonnes of lithium carbonate.
