On May 21, the Kaiyang Branch of the Guiyang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment announced the first public information disclosure for the environmental impact assessment of the Guizhou CNGR Xingyang Energy Storage High-End Phosphorus-Based Cathode Material Industrialization Project.
The project is located in Kaiyang County, Guiyang City, with a total investment of Yuan 1.8 billion. Guizhou CNGR Xingyang Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. plans to build a new 150,000 tonnes/year lithium iron phosphate (LFP) production line within its existing plant area, including a high-compaction LFP production workshop as well as auxiliary and environmental protection facilities. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 150,000 tonnes of high-compaction LFP.
Guizhou CNGR Xingyang Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2021 and is a controlled subsidiary of CNGR New Materials Co., Ltd. To date, CNGR Xingyang Energy Storage has built a large-scale production capacity of 200,000 tonnes/year for iron phosphate and 50,000 tonnes/year for LFP. After the implementation of this new project, its total LFP production capacity will further increase to 200,000 tonnes/year.
