SimFer completes 70-km rail spur for Simandou iron ore project

SimFer has completed the 70-kilometer rail spur linking its Simandou mine in southeastern Guinea to the Trans-Guinean Railway, marking a key milestone in its efforts to boost iron ore exports from the Simandou project. SimFer, a developer of the massive West African iron ore deposit, is the joint venture between the Government of Guinea, Rio Tinto and the Chinalco-led Chalco Iron Ore Holdings (CIOH) consortium.
