VNSTEEL plans $100 million steel processing project in central Vietnam's Quang Ngai

Vietnam Steel Corporation (VNSTEEL), one of Vietnam’s largest state-owned steel producers, together with its joint venture partner HUADA, is planning to invest approximately $100 million in a steel processing project in Quang Ngai province, according to a news release published by the provisional government on May 28.

Targeting downstream flat steel processing rather than upstream steelmaking, the proposed project would produce color-coated steel sheet, galvanized steel sheet, and cold-rolled steel products, with an annual production capacity of up to 1 million tonnes.
