CAAM: China's domestic auto sales post another double-digit fall in May, but exports still robust

The woes afflicting China's domestic automobile market that were so evident in April reappeared in May, the latest release by China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on June 10 shows.
The combined total of domestic and export sales in May reached 2.63 million units, lower by 2.1% from May last year but up 4.1% on month, the CAAM data show. The total mirrored the trend in production, with vehicle output last month declining by 1.2% from May 2025 to 2.62 million
