NBS: China's output of major white goods tops 356 million units in H1

China's production of the four major home appliances – air-conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and televisions – reached 355.57 million units during this year's first half, according to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Among the four, production of air-conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines posted on-year rises, with that of refrigerators jumping by the largest 12.8% to 57.8 million units over January-June. In contrast, production of televisions slid by 4.5% on year to 81.88 million units during the six months, the NBS data showed.
