PT Central Omega Resources Tbk (DKFT) is preparing to submit a revised 2026 Work Plan and Budget (RKAB) to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) to apply for additional nickel ore production quota for the second half of 2026. The company received a production quota in its 2026 RKAB that was approximately 35% lower than the previous year, prompting this strategic move. The reduction has forced DKFT management to adjust this year's nickel ore sales target down to 1.9 million tonnes, a significant decrease from 3.02 million tonnes sold in 2025.
To restore operational capacity, the mining issuer is taking advantage of the opportunity opened by the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in July 2026 to revise its RKAB. Andi Jaya, a director at Central Omega Resources, said on Thursday (June 18, 2026) that the company plans to submit a revised RKAB in July, with a production quota target still optimized at 4 million tonnes. Although details of the remaining quota have not yet been specified, management assured that all mining activities will proceed normally within the framework of applicable regulations.
According to the Q1 2026 performance report, DKFT's nickel ore production reached 554,376 tonnes, down 44.37% from 996,598 tonnes in the same period last year.
Affected by the production decline, the company's sales also fell 19.01% year-on-year, from 932,014 tonnes in last year's first quarter to 754,860 tonnes. Despite the operational adjustments, DKFT's revenue managed to grow 20.20% to 506.01 billion rupiah, buoyed by a 43% increase in average selling prices, while net profit surged 72.97% to 238.45 billion rupiah. The positive growth in Q1 2026 was driven by the company's strategy to optimize market momentum and adjustments to its product sales mix, Andi Jaya explained.
DKFT projects full-year total revenue of approximately 1.6 trillion rupiah, with a year-end net profit target of 628.9 trillion rupiah.
