On June 22, Zangge Mining announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Zangge Lithium, received a project filing notice from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Qinghai Province. The company plans to invest Yuan 32 million in technological retrofitting of its existing 10,000-tonne lithium carbonate production line. By adopting a circulating adsorption process to recover lithium-ions from the lithium-depleted mother liquor (spent lithium precipitation liquor), the project will add 2,000-tonne battery-grade lithium carbonate capacity without increasing the consumption of old brine. The project construction period is scheduled from June to December 2026, with funding to be raised through self-financing.
