China's UPR exports surged 53.36% YoY in Jan-May 2026 (GACC, OilChem), with May's average price rising 8.10% MoM despite a slight volume dip, indicating scale outpaces value-added improvement. Front-loading ahead of EU environmental tariffs and competitive pricing from East/South China capacity boosted shipments, while June exports are estimated at 25,000 tonnes (+2.48% MoM). Monitor Middle East new plant commissioning, as lower-priced supply may pressure domestic exporters.

According to the data of General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), in May 2026, China's unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) exports stood at 24,393.97 tonnes, with an average export price of $1,732.87/t, up 8.10% month-on-month. Exports edged down 0.78% from April but surged 37.93% year-on-year.
