China's Aug. UPR exports continue to fall, down 1.14% MoM

China's UPR exports rose 41.31% YoY to 179,519.31 t in Jan-Aug 2026, though August exports fell 1.14% MoM to 22,721.01 t, GACC data show. Imports dropped 16.40% YoY to 7,663.89 t. Rising domestic prices and the US QSP safeguard tariff weigh on trade, but producer export expansion supports shipments. OilChem expects September exports at 21,000 t, down 7.57% MoM; monitor costs and US quota policy.

According to the data of General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), China's unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) exports totalled 179,519.31 tonnes in January-August 2026, up 41.31% year-on-year.
