China May IR imports down 17.28% MoM on Russia output cuts

According to GACC data, China imported 11,325.4 tonnes of IR in May, down 17.28% from the previous month. Exports contracted 24.5% month-on-month to 5,510.7 tonnes.

China's imports and exports of isoprene rubber (IR) both fell notably month-on-month in May 2026. Sluggish imports from core suppliers helped ease domestic oversupply pressure, while tightening supply in Russia is expected to push June imports even lower and marginally curb export shipments.
