China BPA output hit a half-year low in June 2026 at 366,700 tonnes, as H1 output rose 1.82% YoY. Rising costs and weak end-user demand worsened supply-demand imbalances, dragging prices and deepening losses, prompting producers to bring maintenance forward to MayJune. Near-term supply from two new 240,000 t/y units remains limited. Monitor scheduled JulyAugust turnarounds for further supply tightness.

According to OilChem data, China's bisphenol A (BPA) output reached 2,348,800 tonnes in H1 2026, up 1.82% from a year earlier, with capacity at 6,681,000 t/y.
