BHP reports stronger coal production for FY2026

Australia's BHP reported higher production of both coking and thermal coal for the financial year ended June 30, 2026, according to the company's latest operation report released on July 16.

In the past financial year, saleable coal output attributable to BHP from BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA), the joint venture equally owned by BHP and Japan's Mitsubishi Development in Queensland, totaled 18.63 million tonnes, up 3% from FY25. On a 100% basis, BMA's coal output in FY26 reached 37.25 million
