Coal exports via Canada's Trigon Pacific Terminal drop 5% YoY in H1 '26

Export shipments of Canadian coking and thermal coal dispatched through Trigon Pacific Terminal, located in the Port of Prince Rupert in British Columbia, totaled 2.99 million tonnes in the first half of 2026, down around 5% from the same period of last year.
According to new data from the Prince Rupert Port Authority, Canada's coking coal exports via the terminal stood at 2.47 million tonnes in H1, up 10% from the previous year, while those of thermal coal tumbled by 42% on year to reach 526,949 tonnes.   In June alone, coking coal volumes
