GACC: China's H1 ferrous scrap imports leap 34% YoY

China's imports of ferrous scrap during January-June this year totalled 179,285 tonnes, rising by a significant 34.1% compared with the same period last year, according to the latest statistics from the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC).

In June alone, imports jumped 26% on month and soared 84.3% on year to reach 35,692 tonnes, GACC data showed.
