Recently, a key milestone has been reached at the construction site of the Chuanhong New-Type Lithium-Ion Battery Southwest Production Base, located in Longchang City, Neijiang, Sichuan Province.
According to reports, Phase I of the project is now approximately 90% complete. In the PACK plant, one production line has already completed equipment installation and commissioning, while installation and debugging work on a second line is proceeding in parallel. Trial production is expected to commence within this month (July). Meanwhile, the cell plant has entered its interior renovation phase, and the supporting infrastructure is now in the final stages of completion.
The project is invested and constructed by Sichuan Chuanhong New Energy Technology Co., Ltd, with a total investment of Yuan 1.5 billion. The facility is planned to have an annual production capacity of 10 GWh for new-energy battery cells and systems. The project is being executed in two phases. Upon reaching full operational capacity, it is expected to generate an annual output value of Yuan 3.5 to 4 billion and create more than 900 local jobs, injecting strong momentum into the regional green-energy industry development.
