A 3 GWh solid-state battery pack intelligent manufacturing and electric heavy-truck logistics industrial park project has broken ground at the Xifeng Industrial Park in Qingyang, Gansu Province. The project is a joint investment by Beijing WeLion New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Xinghan Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and Shaanxi Jiansheng Taiben Investment Co., Ltd.
The project is planned to occupy approximately 50 mu (about 3.3 hectares) of land, with an investment of Yuan 600 million. It will adopt globally leading intelligent manufacturing technology for solid-state battery packs, with an annual production capacity of 3 GWh. The products are categorized into three series, including energy storage, automotive, and residential, tailored for diverse application scenarios in Northwest China. They feature key advantages including high safety, a wide operating temperature range, long cycle life, and low operation and maintenance costs.
Upon completion, the plant is expected to have an electricity load of 8,000 kW and an annual electricity consumption of 15 million kWh. It is projected to generate annual sales revenue of Yuan 1.8 billion and tax contributions of Yuan 80 million, while creating over 300 jobs.
