Poland's coal output rises 3% YoY in H1 '26

Poland's cumulative output of coal and lignite totalled 40.67 million tonnes in the first half of 2026, up 2.7% from the same period of last year, according to the latest data from the Central Statistical Office of Poland (CSOP).
  The overall increase resulted from higher H1 output in both hard coal (including coking and thermal coal grades) and lignite, which climbed 3.3% and 2.1% on year to reach 21.19 million tonnes and 19.48 million tonnes, respectively.   Since March, Poland's monthly output of hard coal and lignite has steadily increased
