Australian coal shipments via Gladstone to South Korea surge in July

Coal shipments to South Korea from Gladstone port on the central Queensland coast hit an all-time high in July, following the Seoul government's pledge to support the steel industry amid external pressure, according to Korean news media.
In July, Gladstone port saw 2.11 million tonnes of Australian coal shipped to South Korea, according to data from Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC). The volume had jumped 63% on month and by 25% on year and marked the highest monthly level in the port's archive data dating back to
