Colombia's June coal exports fall after Cerrejon disruption

Colombia exported 3.67 million tonnes of coal in June, down 27.9% from May's 5.09 million tonnes and 12.9% lower than the 4.21 million tonnes it shipped a year earlier, according to data from national statistics agency DANE.

The decline mainly reflected a correction from an unusually strong May, but was also affected by a brief disruption at Cerrejon, Colombia's second-largest coal mine wholly owned by Glencore.
