Australia excludes Baowu Group shipper from AD probe into Chinese rail wheels

Australia's Anti-Dumping Commission, under the country's Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources, is terminating part of its anti-dumping (AD) investigation into imports of China-originated freight railway wheels, according to the latest release published by the commission on August 14.

Commissioner David Latina said in the release that he had been convinced that no dumping of the subject items produced by the Baowu Group Masteel Rail Transit Materials Technology Company Ltd (Masteel) had occurred during the investigation period. Consequently, the probe into that company's exports has been discontinued. However, the commission will continue to conduct AD investigations into other exporters and pursue countervailing investigations against all exporters including Masteel,
