China's imports of cobalt hydrometallurgical intermediates totaled 16,174.322 tonnes in July 2026 (equivalent to 4,852.30 tonnes of cobalt, based on a 30% grade), representing a month-on-month increase of 47.56% and a year-over-year increase of 17.12%, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC). The import value for the month amounted to US$289,759,291, with an average import price of US$17,914.77/tonne.
For the January–July 2026 period, cumulative imports of cobalt hydrometallurgical intermediates totaled 11,074.848 tonnes of cobalt.
