China's glacial acetic acid exports surged 32.95% YoY to 776.5kt while imports collapsed 82.71% to 2,600 t (GACC) in Jan-Jul, reflecting ample domestic supply. OilChem reports average capacity utilization rose 10.16 percentage points to 79.01%, keeping output high. Weak PTA demand and high overseas energy costs, combined with global maintenance tightness, reinforced China's cost advantage and boosted export competitiveness.
