China's glacial acetic acid exports surged 32.95% YoY to 776.5kt while imports collapsed 82.71% to 2,600 t (GACC) in Jan-Jul, reflecting ample domestic supply. OilChem reports average capacity utilization rose 10.16 percentage points to 79.01%, keeping output high. Weak PTA demand and high overseas energy costs, combined with global maintenance tightness, reinforced China's cost advantage and boosted export competitiveness. Traders should monitor Indian capacity additions, international energy prices, and global maintenance schedules.

According to the data of General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), China's glacial acetic acid exports surged 32.95% year-on-year to 776.5kt in January-July, while imports plunged 82.71% to 2,600 tonnes over the same period, underscoring a sharp divergence in the country's trade flows.
