FLASH: Japan scrap export prices dip again in Kanto auction

The top bid in Wednesday's auction for H2 grade scrap for export through Tokyo Bay next month was Yen 48,113/tonne ($313.5/t) FAS, lower by a more sedate Yen 973/t compared with last month's Yen 3,422/t plunge for current month shipments.

The auction attracted 14 bids – 2 more than last month's – with the traders seeking a combined 100,400 tonnes, 5,000 tonnes less than last month. The dealer grouping never identifies the trader submitting the winning bid but said that the destination was Bangladesh and that the allotted tonnage was
