Eramet announces that, following a four-month maintenance period, mining operations at PT Weda Bay Nickel (PT WBN) have resumed after receiving authorization from the Indonesian authorities.
The restart of mining operations is progressing gradually, carried out jointly by PT WBN and its contractors. Safety remains the top priority throughout the restart process.
The timing of the production ramp-up will depend on PT WBN's ability to remobilize contractors and equipment, revise its annual mining plan, and complete related administrative work. As a result, PT WBN is currently unable to make reliable forecasts for nickel ore production, sales, and grades for the remainder of 2026.
Eramet will therefore update its 2026 external nickel ore sales guidance in due course.
PT WBN continues to engage in constructive dialogue with Indonesian authorities and remains committed to responsibly and sustainably developing its operations in Indonesia and contributing to the long-term economic development of North Maluku Province.
