China's industrial-grade acetonitrile prices rallied in September, with OilChem assessing Yuan 11,900/t on Sept 11, up 28% from early September. Tight supply, byproduct producers' run rates below 70%, strong peptide demand, semaglutide patent expiry and generic drug ramp-up boosted API demand. OilChem expects gains through October; new capacity at Tianjin Nangang and Nantong Liyang may curb prices.
