Indonesia mines 423 million t of coal in Jan-July, down 6.3% YoY

Indonesia produced 423.71 million tonnes of coal in the first seven months of 2026, lower by nearly 30 million tonnes or 6.3% from the same period of 2025, data from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) showed.
The figure translates to about 60 million tonnes a month, down from 68 million a month in 2025, when the country mined 817.48 million tonnes in all. Tri Winarno, director general of minerals and coal at the ESDM, gave the numbers in Jakarta on September 10, CNBC Indonesia reported.   Most
