CISA: Members' crude steel output drops by 3.5% YoY over Jan-Aug

Member mills of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) produced 536 million tonnes of crude steel over January-August this year, dropping by 3.5% on year, according to the association's latest release published on September 17.

During August alone, the CISA member mills produced 63.3 million tonnes of crude steel, dropping by 2.3% from July and by a larger 3.9% on year, the same CISA release indicated. In parallel, the total volume of crude steel produced by both member mills and non-member mills dropped by 3.7%
