China's imports of cobalt hydrometallurgical intermediates in August 2026 totaled 7,875.6 tonnes (equivalent to 2,362.68 tonnes of cobalt at a 30% grade), down 51.31% month-on-month but up 50.26% year-on-year, according to data from the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC). The import value for the month reached US$122.0352 million, with an average import price of US$15,495.36 per tonne. From January to August 2026, China's cumulative imports of cobalt hydrometallurgical intermediates reached 13,437.52 tonnes.
