China Aug refined oil exports rise over 80% MoM

While ensuring domestic supply, China's refined oil export policy remained accommodative in August 2026, and sustained high export margins drove a broad month-on-month (MoM) increase in refined oil exports in the month. Entering September, escalating Middle East tensions pushed Singapore gasoline and gasoil prices up more than domestic prices, lifting China's refined oil export margins.

According to General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC), China's total refined oil exports in August totaled 4.41 million tonnes, up 83.79% MoM and 22.93% YoY. Of this, gasoline exports were 700,000 tonnes, up 67.82% MoM but down 17.27% YoY; gasoil exports stood at 1.28
