MYSTEEL: China, Indonesia NPI output retreats MoM in September

The combined output of nickel pig iron (NPI) in China and Indonesia fell 2.6% on month in September to 169,900 tonnes (nickel contained), with output of medium- and high-grade NPI down 2.9% on month at 163,500 tonnes, according to the most recent Mysteel survey results.

The survey covered 10 Chinese smelters and 59 NPI smelting projects in Indonesia, of which 95% are Chinese-invested.
