Colombia's coal exports surge 105% YoY in August

Colombia's coal exports edged higher in August and more than doubled on year, according to data from the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE).

The country exported 4.44 million tonnes of coal in August, 0.15% higher than the 4.43 million tonnes recorded in July and surging by 105.4% from a year earlier, as per the DANE data. The slight monthly increase reflected a gradual recovery in coal shipments following operational disruptions and logistical challenges
