Daqin railway shipments fall 5.1% YoY in Sept

China's Datong-Qinhuangdao (Daqin) railway shipped 31.38 million tonnes of bulk commodities in September, falling by a steeper 5.1% from a year earlier despite a 1.5% rise from August, operator Daqin Railway Co., Ltd. said on October 8.

The 653-km Daqin line, a major heavy-haul corridor mainly moving coal from the country's west to east, runs from Datong city in North China's Shanxi province to Qinhuangdao port on the Bohai Sea. Coal accounts for nearly 90% of its freight volume. The railway ran more trains in September. Loaded
