The core driver behind the weak performance of the lithium-ion battery recycling market last week was the continued decline in lithium carbonate prices. After the holiday, both lithium carbonate futures and spot prices trended downward, directly depressing the pricing benchmarks for LFP black mass and ternary black mass while weakening holders' confidence in holding prices firm. In terms of cobalt salts, cobalt sulfate and cobalt chloride prices declined in tandem, and most smelters suspended public quotations, further eroding cost-side support.
