NBS: Decline in China's Jan-Sept FAI stabilizes at 7.2%, property funding tumbles 20.6%

The decline in China’s fixed asset investment (FAI) showed initial signs of stabilizing in the first nine months of this year, with total FAI over January-September reaching Yuan 33.41 trillion ($5 trillion), lower by the same 7.2% on year as that for January-August, according to the latest release from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 19. NBS never reveals FAI by individual month.

The rate of decrease for FAI had been widening steadily in the first eight months and only plateauing for January-September data, Mysteel Global noted.
