BHP's Jan-Mar IO output down 1% YoY, guidance for 2023 stays

BHP's iron ore output in Pilbara, Western Australia, dipped by 1% on year or 11% on quarter to 66.2 million wet tonnes (on a 100% basis) over January-March, while it decided to keep its iron ore production guidance for the financial year 2023 (July 2022-June 2023) unchanged at 278-290 million wet tonnes (a 100% basis), according to the miner's latest quarterly report released on April 21.

"Our Port Hedland operations were suspended in coordination with the Pilbara Ports Authority, but have since ramped up to full capacity," BHP explained.
