Vale's 2022 iron ore output at 308 mln t, below forecast

Iron ore production at Vale, the world's largest iron ore miner, declined by 1.6% on year to total 307.8 million tonnes in 2022, slightly below its forecast of 310 million tonnes, according to the Brazilian giant's latest quarterly report released on January 31.

The miner has also set its iron ore production guidance at 310-320 million tonnes for this calendar year, unchanged from its previous target for 2022.
