In August, Japan imported 15,374 tonnes of stainless cold-rolled coils (CRCs) in total, down 5.8% on month, according to the data released by Trade Statics of Japan on September 28. But market sources believed that the stock level remained high and more stainless CRCs may be imported to Japan in future.
Japan's August stainless CRC imports were 15.2% higher on year, and the country's total imports over January-August reached 128,616 tonnes, 18.1% higher on year, according to the data.
