Taiwan Feng Hsin rolls over rebar, scrap prices again

Feng Hsin Steel, Taiwan's largest rebar producer headquartered in Taichung in central Taiwan, has decided to hold its rebar list prices and buying prices for local scrap unchanged for another week for transactions over May 15-19 to monitor market changes, a company official confirmed on Tuesday. The mini-mill has now held its prices for two weeks straight, Mysteel Global notes.

For business discussions till this Friday, Feng Hsin's list price for 13mm dia rebar remains unchanged on week at TWD 19,400/tonne ($630/t), while the mini-mill continues to pay TWD 10,900/t for local HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap, according to the official. The company is in no hurry to adjust its buying
