BI-WEEKLY: China mines' iron ore output, stocks both rise

More Chinese mining companies have resumed production of iron ore concentrates during the past two weeks, but the lower prices of domestic concs has discouraged them from selling so their inventories have accumulated as a result, the findings of Mysteel's latest survey showed.

During September 6-19, daily output of iron ore concentrates among the 186 domestic mining enterprises under Mysteel's biweekly tracking rose for the third straight survey period by another 5,100 tonnes/day or 1.1% on fortnight to reach an average of 478,500 t/d.
