DAILY: China's portside thermal coal prices remain stable

Thermal coal prices at northern China's transshipment ports remained flat on November 11, according to market sources. Many traders opted to hold offers steady or refrain from quoting, while downstream demand remained weak, with a few buyers inquiring but bidding aggressively.

On Monday, Mysteel assessed the trading prices of 5,500 kcal/kg, 5,000 kcal/kg, and 4,500 kcal/kg NAR thermal coal all unchanged from Friday at Yuan 855/tonne ($118.4/t), Yuan 755/t and Yuan 665/t, respectively, on a FOB northern ports basis with VAT.
