WEEKLY: Chinese mines' iron ore output at 11-month high

Production among Chinese iron ore mining enterprises climbed for the third straight week during May 16-22 driven by increased operation resumptions at mines across different regions of the country, Mysteel's latest survey results showed.

Over the latest survey period, the total volume of iron ore concentrates produced by the 186 mining companies under Mysteel's regular tracking rose slightly by another 2,100 tonnes/day or 0.4% on week to reach 500,900 t/d, the highest since last July. In tandem, these mines' average capacity utilization rate
